| Step 1 | ![]() |
Snap the fasteners that hold the wheel houses in place for the Cobra roller bag. There are inside washers (ring ,nut) and outside bolts. |
| Step 2 | ![]() |
Locate the inside washers (rings, nuts) which are close to the wheel house. |
| Step 3 | ![]() |
The easiest ways to remove the rings are by using a woodworking chisel or cutting pliers to remove the rings. A slotted screwdriver can be used for the same purpose. Once the washers (rings, nuts) have been removed, it is easy to remove the bolts from the outside. |
| Step 4 | ![]() |
The outside bolts can be removed by pliers, chisels, or screwdrivers. Do not break the inside plastic plate, which supports the wheel houses. You can also cut the bolts with a heavy-duty cutter. Once the four bolts are removed, the wheel house can be taken off. |
| Step 5 | ![]() |
Clean everything up. After all the bolts are removed, the bag is ready for a new wheel house. |
| Step 6 | ![]() |
Turn the bag
downwards to work with the two holes on the bottom. Fix the position with a nail or small shank screwdriver,
put the 5/8" screw through the open hole. Repeat the same procedure
for the other hole. Tighten these two screws with nuts from the inside
of the bag.
Check if the curve of the wheel house matches well with the bottom support of the bag. Do not leave too big of a gap between the wheel house flanking and the bottom of the bag. If this happens, please drill one or two more screws to close the gap, as illustrated in Step 8. |
| Step 7 | ![]() |
We found it easiest to put the wheel house on by putting a nail or screwdriver through the original bolt hole while working on the other bolt hole using the #10-32 5/8" bolt. Try fastening the bolt through the original spot, and make sure the bolt goes through the inside plastic board. We recommend washers in and out for these four bolts, #10 washers are perfect. We use #10 nuts to tighten the bolts. |
| Step 8 | ![]() |
We strongly recommend enforcing the wheel house onto the bag with four extra screws as demonstrated in this picture. In this manner, the wheel house is much stronger and effectively absorbs shock. |

Machine screws are used. These are zinc plated #10-32 5/8" bolts, #10 nuts, and washers. |
